Blood and Candy

Imagine awaking one night with the intense craving for blood, that crimson fluid that sustains the life of all the soul filled creatures on Earth. Or imagine being born with such a craving, not wanting milk or food, but needing that red vitae of life to survive. This is the life of Vampires and The Next. Creatures of the night we have all heard about, myths that have been passed down from generation to generation. What we haven't been told about are those creatures who created the Vampires. The First.

It is present day and the world moves on as it usually does, except for the night. There is unrest within the night creatures; the myths of The First are dwindling and some are beginning to wonder if they even exist. Hunters of the Vampires and The Next are becoming more common and a plea for The First to appear once more has gone out. But the question as to if they will respond to that plea goes unanswered.

The Higashi and Nishi clans have sunken to full blown war, The Next are being shunned among their Vampire relatives and the Hunters are killing all that they come across. It seems like a time of crisis for the shadows of the night, with it completely unclear as to who will come out on top in the end. Will the humans completely reclaim their world or will the Vampires once more thrive and prey upon them? Will the five clans clash or come together to fulfill Lucifer's plan to turn the Earth into his new home?
